I bought a suit for a Christmas present, and I have no clue if I should wrap it in a box or just keep it on the hanger. I was thinking that they sell bike bags for Childrens gifts, should I use that or can it go in a box without getting wrinkled. It is 60% worster wool 40% silk. Will this wrinkle? Any suggestions? Anybody ever wrap a suit? Thanks!
what a crappy present-clothes for xmas…just what I wanted-sorry just reverting to my childhood, yes it will wrinkle, but most of the time they have to be altered and pressed anyway, just get a garment bag, the cleaners have simple ones, do not use a hanger, just put that in a box, with packing paper, folding the sleeves but not the coat, DO NOT SHIP like this as they will get smashed, but otherwise, no worries, just be ready to press and watch the joy in the eyes of the receiver…or not.
try this.. they have big.. like.. robe boxes.. fold it neatly.. and put it in there. either that.. or.. my prefered idea.. get an inexpensive suit carry case. like for travel? hang it on the hanger.. give him the inexpensive luggage piece with a bow around the hanger.. and let him unzip it. hide it well. (you can find really nice ones if you are broke, at like.. goodwill.. value village) just say.. wow.. i ran out of money.. hope you don’t mind this.. and give it to him. he’s gonna feel the suit and say.. oh.. is there something in there? what is it? and let him find the suit that way!!
This is what I would do: Hang it in the closet. First idea: in a box wrap up Ken Barbie doll clothes. Second idea in a box wrap up clues to wear he will find his gift. That way you don’t have to worry about wrinkles. Nice gift!
